Symphonic metal news with a sprinkle of fairy dust

Videos: Epica, Arch Enemy, The Dark Element (Anette Olzon)

We have more music videos again! So here's a round-up of some of the latest.

Firstly we have Epica's latest, for Immortal Melancholy. The song is taken from upcoming EP The Solace System, but also featured as an acoustic bonus track on The Holographic Principle. The video is animated by Davide Cilloni and continues the story from The Solace System single. The EP is released this week.

Next up is Arch Enemy's new video for The Eagle Flies Alone. This is the second single from Will To Power, released on September 8th.

We then have something that some of you have been waiting a long time for - new material from Anette Olzon, formerly of Nightwish. Anette has teamed up with Finnish guitarist and songwriter Jani Liimatainen to create The Dark Element. The self-titled album will be released on November 10th, and the first single also bears the same title.

Check them all out in the players below.

Anette returns!!! <3 She's one of my favorite singers and I really missed her voice!! The song is great, the best possible comparison I can picture is "Delain goes progressive metal" XD She sounds amazing too! Can't wait for the album!
I love Immortal Melancholy (though I don't like the animation) and, while The Eagle Flies Alone is not bad, I prefer The World is Yours

Yeah The Dark Element definitely has a bit of a Delain sound to it. I really like it!
